Jack Witter

Jack Witter
Chief Executive Officer

Jack has been actively involved in all aspects of the retirement housing industry for over twenty years. In that time, he has helped develop and operate twenty- two senior housing communities – congregate, assisted living and dementia care- throughout California and Arizona. He has put together three management companies and has established an operational and management philosophy that has served to guide all of these communities to their eventual success. Jack suggests that "The trick to managing communities such as The Villages is to have excellent systems and policies in place so that your staff can function from their hearts rather than their heads. A visitor should be able to feel that difference upon entering any of our communities. Although our buildings are beautiful and well maintained, it's our people who make the difference and that gentle, respectful dance that goes on between our residents and our staff that sets The Villages apart. What an incredible gift we have been given to be able make such a difference in people's lives."

Maria Perkovich

Maria Perkovich
Executive Director

It continues to be my great joy and honor to serve our esteemed senior population. Each resident is so individual in their experiences, talent and desires, and needs to be recognized for who they are and for the rich fabric of their lives. Ours is to protect their dignity and their ability to choose, while providing an atmosphere of compassion, comfort and preeminence. Simply stated, our work is all about love and service. I have had the extreme pleasure of serving and advocating for seniors, holding administrative licensure and certification in California, Colorado, and New York collectively for over two decades. I am incredibly thankful to be a part of the extraordinary team at Garden Creek who excel at nurturing and extending the highest quality of care from the inside out.

With more than 20 years of hands-on and managerial experience, she has seen an incredible amount of positive change in how the industry works with those afflicted with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias.

Cheryl's leadership, to a large part, is the reason that Sydney Creek enjoys it's region-wide reputation for excellence in memory care.
